The Knicks Are Dumb
Today is another dark day in the infinite list of dark days since championship team of 1973. If you really believe Mike Dantoni “resigned” or the “mutual agreement” defense, you haven’t followed the Dolan-era Knicks. No Knicks head coach in the Dolan era has left with a
3 Reasons Why The Knicks Are Dumb
1.) YOU PLAY AT THE GARDEN TONIGHT
So much for all that goodwill and positive energy back at MSG. The wolves will be out in full force tonight. If the Knicks trail by five points at any time in this game, we may have a reverse Artest-melee on our hands. You’re telling me The Knicks couldn’t wait until press-release-hell Friday to announce this? If you thought there was pressure to win tonight, wait until Lamarcus Aldridge grabs four straight offensive rebounds.
2.) LOCKOUT SEASON
There’s only 24 games left in the season. We are trailing THE MILWAUKEE BUCKS for the 8th seed (first round CHI BULL KO) and they just upgraded their roster. Do you mean to tell me the Garden braintrust couldn’t figure out a way to make this work for the rest of the season instead of once again making theknicks a complete circus. Teams that have had low turnover in personnel and coaching are atop the standings this season. So in the Knicks world, this equates to signing a guy midseason who posts naked pictures of women on twitter, and firing your coach. Do we really need Isiah rumors for the rest of the year?
3.) MELO GETS ALL THE BLAME
Melo may not be the savior everyone expected but he’s gotten way too much blame for the Knicks’ recent slide. Yes his effort and rebounding are consistently lacking, but everyone overlooks the fact that he’s a superstar scorer that is adjusting to a new role. It was always going to take time. The Knicks roster hasn’t had a full training camp or time to mesh with the lockout, rash of injuries, and Linsanity. I’m still confident Melo would’ve found a way to make it work. Now the fans have turned on him a year after begging to trade the entire roster for him. Good luck Melo
